Today is April 10th, the 100th day of the year. On this day in 1953 the first 3-D movie premiered….Who knew it was that long ago?
While April signifies spring in the Northern Hemisphere of our great planet it signifies fall and is the equivalent to the month of October in the Southern Hemisphere.
Every single year it starts the same day of the week as the month July and ends the same day of the week as the month December.
There are many international observances during the month of April. They include, Parkinson’s Disease, Rape & Autism Awareness, Good Friday, Easter, National Poetry Writing Month, National Trombone Week, Record Store Day, World Health Day and Earth Day. No, I didn’t forget April Fool’s Day, it isn’t not internationally recognized. I do have wonder who comes up with and decides some of these. National Trombone Day? Record Store Day?
April’s birthstone is a diamond!
Just a few facts about the month of April….
