Make Too Much Pasta?
Make Too Much Pasta?
I made too much pasta when I made the Baked Angel Hair Casserole a few days ago so I thought I should use it as a side with dinner tonight. I decided to dress it up with stuff in my fridge and pantry.
Lemon Garlic Pasta w/Parmesan
Ingredients
- 2 T butter, softened
- 2 t celery salt
- 1 large clove garlic, minced
- 1 t grated lemon peel
- 1 T parsley
- pepper to taste
- 1/3 c Parmesan cheese
Instructions
- Microwave the pasta just until the butter melts. Mix well, the butter helps the herbs stick to the pasta. Add the herbs, garlic and cheese, I added 1/3 cup freshly grated Parmesan cheese, didn't want it too cheesy 🙂

Great idea for leftover pasta! I never know what to do with it!
Very clever idea! I’m completely incapable of making the proper amount of pasta. It’s either too much or too little and I have to ration it out. Now I’m less nervous about making too much and I bet I could pull this off pretty easily. Thanks for the tip! - Jerusha, TheDisneyChef.com
Thanks Jerush! It really is pretty easy, just add butter and any seasonings and/or cheeses you like and viola! A pasta side!
I often use up extra pasta by cutting it up a bit and putting it in soups.
That is a good idea….Thanks for stopping by Eve!
Great idea. I hate waste. Anything to keep from throwing food out works for me.
Me too! Thanks for stopping by Mary!
I’m a pasta-aholic, so this is great. Recipe sounds yummy!
By the way, I would love to have you post on my new blog hop—the Weekend Blog Hop at My Flagstaff Home (www.myflagstaffhome.com). It begins on Thursday evenings and lasts through the weekend, if you’re interested.

Thanks, Jennifer, I’ll be there!
I never thought about making this way either, Mary. It sounds like a great idea.
I love the herbs, the tea and cheese. I can almost smell it from here.
Thanks for sharing it on #TipTuesday.
Thanks Debbie!
We rarely have “leftover” pasta these days, but my mom used to do this ALL the time, and I so fondly remember it!
Glad I could help bring back a fond memory for you! Thanks Steph!
